Our Environment Policy
Green choices | A green choice is not about today - it’s about tomorrow
Most of us recycle at home. But, unfortunately many businesses do not have green practices in their workplace. Implementing a Green Office Program can be difficult. But at Snap, we can help get you started. We stock a large range of recycled and accredited papers for you to choose from for your next printing project.
We have a great selection of recycled and environmentally friendly stocks, so you can be confident that facilities are independently certified assuring you that our stocks come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
Make a green change in your business
Environmentally responsible options from Snap are not just about making a change for the present but about contributing towards a sustainable future.
Here are a few ways you can save wasting paper in your business.
- Install paper-only recycling bins. And ask your local paper recycling company to regularly collect them
- Use emails instead of letters and faxes
- Use old paper in faxes. A perfect use for that old stack of outdated letterheads
- Scan and store documents electronically, and then recycle the paper originals
The benefits of recycled paper
Compared with manufacturing regular white paper from wood pulp, producing one tonne of recycled paper saves:
- 1,780 litres of water
- 4100 kilowatt/hours of electricity
- 75% of chlorinated bleach
- 27 kg of air pollutants
- 13 trees
- 4 cubic metres of land fill
- 2.5 barrels of oil
